How did you go about evaluating and comparing new ERP systems?

We started looking at Netsuite, Acumatica, and Microsoft Dynamics. I also looked at some of the smaller SAP versions but didn't go too far with those. After rounds and rounds of product demos and evaluation, we decided that Acumatica was the best solution for us.
Why did you select Acumatica over other providers?

Acumatica is a holistic solution for us that doesn't require us to bolt in other modules to hit everything we need for the business. I really liked the idea of not having to care about how many users we have. I wanted to be able to make decisions in operations that wasn't reliant on paying extra user licensing fees. If I want to give someone access to Acumatica and they only have access to one screen, I can do that without worrying if it's worth it or not for the extra fees. So the licensing structure of Acumatica really helped.
How are you and your team maintaining business continuity amidst challenging times?

We maintain business continuity similar to others operating on a cloud based solution. The power of the cloud is giving us visibility, allows us to work anywhere, and the ability to share information readily to see where we are at in the business in real-time.
How has Acumatica helped you save time and be more efficient?

It's allowing our finance team to process transactions quicker. When doubling the number of transactions, it's making it so you don't have to double in head count. It's allowing order fulfillment to go a lot faster. Acumatica gives you the tools you need to be able to scale the business with that growth.
What can you now do better with Acumatica than you could before?

Before we were using a hodgepodge of QuickBooks, Smartsheets, and Google sheets. So just having one centralized database makes it very easy to do everything. We wouldn't have been able to scale fully without Acumatica. We wouldn't have been able to do our METRC integration without a solution like Acumatica. We were very much at a breaking point with our prior process and Acumatica made it possible to move the business forward.
How are you better able to get insights out of your data?

Acumatica doesn't just help with accounting functions, if you take the time to set it up properly, then it definitely helps streamline business processes and can provide real-time reporting. Creating reports is fairly easy in the system. The solution is also easy to adjust over time and add new dashboards and reports and automate reports as you go. You're not having to get a reminder notice to pull down a report every Sunday, that sort of thing any longer.

Having a centralized database makes reporting and adjusting to reporting needs a lot easier. For example, software updates, we can pretty much do the update every time a new version comes out. There's not a lot of due diligence that needs to go into that upgrade because we're not having to then consider first how that upgrade impacts six other systems or to pivot table a bunch of different reports to match data just to get an answer to someone's question. I can pull everything from a GI in Acumatica.
What has your experience been like working with your Acumatica partner?

Working with Klear Systems has been great. I wanted someone that would be willing to dive in deep with us as we need them to. I didn't need an eight person team having to have conference calls every two days.
